Man, every brush stroke comes with pain but it hurts more not to create.…This Baldwin quote is the truth. People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes floating back to them, poisoned.
Luis Peralta Del Valle is on a mission. His artwork holds vision and insight for the truths we aspire to express, hope and love. He captions each piece with his intention, and we are given art that speaks to beauty and social justice. Welcome, Luis Peralta Del Valle. Gate open! – Victorine

Getting for my last solo exhibition of the year. We will unveiling this painting titled “GRACE” I’m very happy on how it turned out, traditional portraiture meets the street art. Big Thank You to Duane Gautier and the Anacostia Art Center Family for their continues support.
I had so much fun and learned a lot working on this project. I wanted to be as accurate as possible in the depiction of the Nacotchtank Indians (from which the name Anacostia is derived). After several conversations and texting back and forth, I finally got it right. A BIG thank you to @anthony Gualtier for connecting me with Gabrielle Tayac Associate Professor of History and Art @ George Mason. She is a wealth of information.
I really appreciate my community and course, the The Anacostia Business Improvement District for their support and desire to beautify the business district and the loving spirit of the people that represents Anacostia. Successful public art project takes teamwork!!! Resident Artist at Project Create

Happy Good Friday everybody. This is the second portrait that I painted of Saint Pope John Paul II, the Great.
The Great JP II was an advocate of interfaith dialogue, and worked with religious and political leaders towards world peace. The papacy and its history can be tracked back to the first Bishopf of Rome, from the Apostle Peter all the way to Pope Francis.
Thanks to Christina and National Museum of Catholic Art and Library (NMCAL), I had the opportunity to exhibit it at the Embassy of Italy along with my portrait of Pope Francis. That night I also received the NMCAL Portrait Award
Del Valle explores various subjects in his works. He paints family, friends, and everyday people as well as historic events and icons, such as Pope Francis, Nelson Mandela, Frederick Douglass, Roberto Clemente, and Celia Cruz. The murals, portraits, and landscapes Del Valle creates tell stories in vibrant colors and realistic figures. They draw the viewer into the long traditions of art and yet speak to the viewers’ modern sensibility. Luis continues to grow his unique personal artistic sensibilities while remaining an active leader in the metropolitan arts world.
