In today’s world, it is most difficult to hold your ground, to maintain your position. With social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and Intstagram, we are under constant bombardment of all kind of information. We live in a time where fake news and outright lies are the order of the day. Our belief system is under attack and is challenged each and every moment of our life.
The ability to remain unchanged and unimpaired, to abide in something with lasting power almost seems impossible to do. But let us be thankful that most of us come from a place, from a time where we were taught to stand on our beliefs no matter what. In doing this, we are able to stay true to the aforementioned beliefs and to ourselves. In staying true to ourselves, whatever may come at us or be revealed, it will not cause us to waiver in any manner. We will demonstrate our ability to stand on our truth because we are deeply rooted and grounded in it.
It is our charge to protect ourselves, protect our minds against the adverse thoughts and information that is designed to make us feel doubt, fear, and insecurities. These feelings have a tendency to create an unbalanced state in our lives. Anytime we are unbalanced, we leave ourselves open to all kinds of things, none of which are designed to do us any good. Every one of us reading this article is in tune to the betterment of others and ourselves. Everyone that writes for this publication shares the same perspective. We want the best for others and ourselves.
Therefore, it is most important that we, as the enlightened ones, hold fast to the beliefs of unity, inclusiveness, and love. There is a place for every one of the inhabitants of this earth. Making that place comfortable and acceptable to everyone is why we devote our time and energy to diversity as shared in this publication. Our writings are reflective of the many views and beliefs that are shared and unique unto them. It provides a forum for talking points and ideas for discussion among those that partake in reading our articles and for us that write.
Our being deeply rooted and grounded in our individual beliefs is that which creates the space for others and their beliefs. Let us be mindful and continue to share always keeping this in mind.
