THE FIXER SYNDROME
This condition exists when we think we can supply what's missing in someone else, so we go about trying to fix it. Both men and women display this behavior equally. Many people are serial fixers and repeat this pattern in all of their relationships. For the most part, the fixer is unaware of their own behavior, which is why it is called a syndrome.
As a symptom of the condition, the one affected invests in people with false hope. It is not your job to fix anyone, but you are allowed to inspire them. You can never change anybody; people do what they want to do when they want to.
The only meaningful change is a change that is initiated from inside of ourselves. Let's stop trying to fix one another and let's start trying to understand and love one another.
