This Issue: Education!

Garden Spices Magazine welcomes you to the new decade!

We are turning the page of a tumultuous year and holding the vision of truth for every aspect of our living in 2020. We have the seeds planted for being what we need to be, and what we don’t know, we can learn. That’s what this issue is all about – Education.

For the 5 years Garden Spices has been in existence, Blossom’s featured Contributor, Dr. Robert V. Gerard has been telling us that everything we need for healing and living abundantly is within our DNA. In What I Learned from Robert and About Him, Gerard’s wife, Zeljka Roksandic explores the intricacies of what makes them complete each other, and indeed, we are educated about Dr. Gerard.

In Our Legacy, Our Strength, Rev.Robert Yarbrough shares his legacy of family educators and Marlon Hayes opens his Toolbox to give us insight on how we learn from awareness of gifts given through childhood experiences. We learn that change is the proverbial teacher in Susan Peter’s Learning and Living with Change and that we must be change agents in social activism, academic education, and personal growth. Life-long Learning, by Dr. Joyce Brown, Considerate Education, by Dr. Jacqueline Osborne, The Education Questions Unasked, by William Leroy Kennedy, and True Wisdom is Within You, by Dr. Wanda Gail Campbell respectively teach us those lessons. Project Say Something continues to move us forward in racial justice with Brian Murphy’s piece on Educating Allies.  Our spiritual words come from Words by Dr. Russell Clayton, and we are blessed to have the words of the consummate writer, actor, activists,  Frank Malaba; this issue with Hashtags Come Alive with Action. We continue to honor veteran, Lt. Col. Jason Carter with E-mails from Jason.

Bernie Basley Photography shot Khlong Toei Market in Thailand, and the picture for Garden Spices looks great for the coming year.  We thank you for starting your year with your favorite Contributors, and we look forward to the many nuances that await us in 2020.
