At home, I am the first one to wake up. I start the coffee and wake up Pepper, the Parrot. I talk to him in that high-pitched voice we all have for babies and animal companions. I remove and fold the sheet that covers his condo-cage at night, give him a good morning head and neck scratch, and do a quick cage cleaning and take his three bowls to the kitchen for his morning meals. These consist of fresh filtered water in one bowl. A mix of organic seeds, nuts, nutritional pellets, and dried fruits and vegetables in the second bowl. For his third bowl, I prepare a variety of different fresh vegetables and some fruits so he has a full weekly array of choices filled with brightly colored fresh health. This morning’s breakfast consists of fresh whole green beans, sweet potato, and sliced bananas. On a couple of slices I add tiny bit of organic peanut butter, which he loves as a treat.
As I sip my coffee with him, watching him eat, I enter into my “me time” – time for my morning coffee, prayers, affirmations and daily devotions. Sometimes I choose to read an inspirational book or poetry, and I pick up all the prayer requests that came through the website overnight and pray with those people. This time is also when my daily Facebook notes manifest – follow me to get these, if you’re not already following: www.Facebook.com/RJStarrInMiami.
‘Abundance’ by Pepe Villegas
My path as a peace minister has brought me to a personal choice to see the world from a higher level of consciousness of which I am presently capable. It calls me to see the divine expression in all – God in everything and as everyone. There are times when I am very adept at this, and there are times when I am quite challenged. The times that I am most challenged by it, are the times when I observe human personalities behaving in a way that I perceive to be incongruous with the expression of God. My “EGS,” or my Emotional Guidance System, is telling me that my inner environment is out of alignment with the spiritual environment.
When I feel bad emotionally, I know that what is taking place in my mind is in disharmony with the essence of my being. Think GIGO – Garbage in, garbage out. GIGO is a concept also commonly used to describe failures in human decision-making due to faulty, incomplete, or imprecise data. Experiencing disharmony is my call to go into prayer and meditation and reconnect.
“One should never allow himself to think of, or talk about, limitation or poverty. Life is a mirror and
will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it. The more spiritual the thought, the higher the
manifestation. Spiritual thought means an absolute belief in, and reliance upon, Truth.”
– Ernest Holmes
Above, Holmes is talking about limitation or poverty in any form, including poverty of intelligence, limitation of opportunity, etc.
What is Truth? Truth, with a capital “T,” is that which is unchanging. It is Truth that there is One Supreme Being, and that Being is Power, Principle, Love and Law, and it is present everywhere, in everything, and as everyone. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1-4) – This is the BEGINNING – the great void. From that singularity alone, everything else – including YOU – came into being – arose from within the Singularity, unable to be separated from it. In the very image and equivalence of the God-essence, at the microscopic level, we have been thus created. The same Intelligence that keeps the universe in order exists within me and you, and also in those human personalities behaving in a way that we perceive to be incongruous with the expression of God.
We live our lives from the inside out and our experience of the outside is filtered through the interpretive conditions within. If we do not work on the conditions we create within, we will never change the outer conditions. If there is any “secret” to this at all, the “secret” is in recognizing our unity AS the Great Singularity Itself, and that the Great Singularity knows nothing outside of Itself, including the actions of those human personalities behaving in a way that we perceive to be incongruous with the expression of God.
‘Serenity’ by Pepe Villegas
This is a daily – rather, moment-by-moment – practice. Like working out, if you want change on the outside, you must dedicate yourself through healthful practice. To build muscle, you go to the gym and lift weights. To build your spiritual muscle – that exquisitely fine-tuned tool to manifest a peace-filled, joy-filled LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS – you must lift thoughts. The higher your lift, the higher your manifestations. The way you lift, is through your daily spiritual practices. I do my daily practices in the morning, like I described at the beginning of this article, before going to sleep, and several other times throughout the day. Like variety in foods, I choose different practices such as prayer, meditation, contemplation, visioning, etc. – you can learn more about these and other practices on our Sacred Center website at www.SacredCenter.org/Practices.
We come to know our divinity, and the divinity of others, through spiritual practice. When you know your own divinity, you know it is not for just a day but for always. As a child of God, you are richly endowed with an all-sufficiency in all things. You know that God is your instant, constant, and abundant supply. When you “seek first the kingdom,” you meditate deeply on the Truth of your oneness with God. And when you do, you enter into a higher dimension of thinking, and you come to live with the license of a higher order of beings. There is no concern for tomorrow, for tomorrow only exists when it becomes today. And when it becomes today, it brings its own challenges and its own blessings.
I invite you to come to know your own divinity. I invite you to lift your thoughts, step out of the mass mediocrity depicted by the media and into a higher order of being-ness. One where fear is seen for what it is, worry doesn’t exist, and peace reigns supreme. It is time to wake up to the Truth of Who You Are.
The Light of God surrounds you, the Love of God enfolds you, the Power of God protects you, and the Presence of God watches over you – AS YOU. Wherever you Are, God Is. All is Well. And that’s the Truth.
Peace and blessings. ♥ – RJ Starr
