Between Clouds and Earth

In this atmosphere, where I am between clouds and earth, change to me is experiences that enable me to learn and develop all that I am. Today is not how it was yesterday, and tomorrow will not be as it is today. Change stays in orbit and occurs on multiple scales. In the morning, the sun greets us. We go and carry out our daily tasks. The moon comes at night.

At the same time, the weather is changing creating storms, floods, tornados, earthquakes, and hurricanes, etc. The seasons are moving from good rest winter to perky spring, party hard summer then blissful fall. As I observe change, I experience it, centered in my core. I use it to make a better me.

Using our historical timeline, I have found that we are not the same humans that existed eons ago. We have similar but different experiences. We are constantly evolving and it is change that helps us do so. We live today for someone tomorrow. This piece of information caused a change within me. It inspired me to embrace change and develop all that I am.

The agriculture and industrial period was a mere phase to some of us. We are now in the Age of Information. We have access to information at our fingertips. We use Google to solve our curiosity and social media to meet new friends. This change encourages me to seek those talents and gifts that are inside of me, but also to be flexible. It teaches me to be aware of the times.

Although I have lived to see President Barak Obama serve two consecutive terms in the White House, I have also experienced the murder of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Renisha Mcbride, and Eric Garner publicized through social media. The news went around the world and people of all shades protested. These changes seem like distractions. They punctuate the fact we never moved away from racism. Most of all, it has taught me, my black is so powerful that some fear my potential. Therefore, this encourages me to find out more about my unknown.

There are people afraid of change. I empathize with them because change can be uncomfortable. One can implement change to be destructive. However, I use it as a helpmate to make a better me for generations to come. I direct my energy to change for the better. I welcome change into my life; I do not fear it. I seek techniques to help me ensure a healthy response to change. I encourage you to embrace change because no one can stop change from occurring.

I no longer see things as I once did. My experiences have shaped me. I monitor them with care and seek healing if necessary. It appears that we are in a cycle and there is no physical place to go. We are simply having experiences. We are defining the human race at this day and age on this physical plane.
