As African drummers/dancers, we look for unique fabrics for creating clothing. This artist creates prints that dance, and Garden Spices asked for a glimpse into the studio of Oluwasegun Adeogun Owa. – Victorine

Artist Statement

My name: Oluwasegun Adeogun Owa, and  I am a textile artist.  I am motivated by challenging myself, which forces me to develop more skills. Also, I like cold calling or starting a conversation with a complete stranger.   I use my imagination and always use my creativity; I don’t follow the crowd.

While I may copy some prints, my prints are not just fabric.  My prints always have a story.  I make wearable art.
