We already know Carla Renea, owner of SugarPearls. We know her recipe videos and her fabulous cuisine. Now, we get to visit her foray into good gardening. Gate open - Victorine

Look at my CABBAGE, y'all!!!!

So you've got a few moth holes in your veggies.

I may be able to help with that!

If you see a shallow hole on your cabbage head and the head looks mature enough... go ahead and pull it. Peel back each layer until you no longer see any holes in the cabbage.

Cut in half to make sure no worms or bugs have crept inside. Wash all the pulled leaves.

Then, stack, roll, and cut.

Ain't nobody got time to be throwing away food.

Flawed or imperfect vegetables cook up good, too.

SAVE those (collard green) stems!

After a thorough washing and a few rinses, I'm left with a delicious pot of greens. But what about all those stems?

Words to the wise...
