An emerging Black designer from Florence, AL? Definitely! Cyerra Latham has already made her mark in the renowned global fashion magazine, Vogue. As a graduating student from the Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) Atlanta campus, Latham's design (shown above) was the first of her collection, Lasso and Luxe, to appear on the runway in a show featuring the work of aspiring designers.

This collection is an homage to my parents' love story. What a great way to celebrate their love. Thank You!

Latham's designs are both inspired and meticulously planned. "Unlike many designers, I am not free-spirited," Latham confesses. She also acknowledges spending nights in the studio, sleeping on a drafting table or in her car, doing whatever was necessary to meet her class deadlines. "I used wool fabric as a blanket." Her Lasso and Luxe collection showcases the results of her dedication and talent.
