You never know when an invite will come. It may be for an event, or she may call you to pick up the donations she stores for those in need. I have attended several of Deborah Nehemiah's events as a speaker or guest, and they are all identifiable:
The venue will be decorated especially for you
You will be well-fed
The event itself is a fellowship, so there's prayer
Somebody will sing,
The event I last attended was a Paint 'n Sip held at So Smoothie with designer smoothies. After we settled at our tables manned with easels and pictures to paint, we chose from the vast menu of smoothies. (I had a Carrot Cake smoothie!) Beyond the smoothies, we had croissant sandwiches, salad, cookies, and water. We each had to choose a framed inspiration that spoke to us.
A Love painting table and a peek into Shantel Garner giving a chair massage
After settling at our tables, we were instructed to choose paints and dive into the picture we had chosen. Then, our maestro, Deborah, asked us individually to speak to our chosen inspiration. I was seated with Carrine Thompson. (Side note: I met Carrine during a Karaoke contest she won. When something went wrong with the music, she kept singing acapella!) Carrine was moved to sing at our event:
After the applause and many affirmations on the power of Christ to overcome division and all challenges during this time, we were treated to a chair massage by Shantel Garner, LMT, from LaShae's Place, LLC, and Bloom Studios.
We parted fully satisfied with the love fest we experienced through a ministry that keeps love expanding. Thank you, Deborah Nehemiah.
