Millicent Garland Photography was thrilled to capture the beauty of Angela Sales. I realized Garden Spices had to witness it. Talk about style! Her home is absolutely fabulous. We will learn more about her other projects in the future, but in this issue, we focus on the style of Angela Sales - Victorine.
About Angela Sales
Angela Sales was born in Birmingham, Alabama during the turbulent Civil Rights era. Always the creative, Angela spent her early years developing numerous outlets for her creative endeavors. She began sewing at a young age and had a keen interest in science. After graduating from Talladega College, she began designing 3-dimensional mirrors for living spaces. Her work was on display for several months in a one-woman show in East Manhattan.
Her eventual love for competing as a bodybuilder resulted in her designing and patenting an abdominal cardio machine. She is also the creator of a Black history flag honoring Black leaders from Sojourner Truth to Barack Obama. and the author of a children's book about her late cat, Smooches.
Angela Sales retired in 2011, having spent many years in the City University of New York System. She now resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her beautiful cat, Bentley.
