Calls for Shelter

Here comes a killer shark, get out of the water! It’s going to rain today, bring your umbrella. I’ve lost my home, where can I stay? There’re too many people around me; I’m getting nervous. Oh my God, Godzilla is coming; run for your life!

Whatever the case may be, having or seeking shelter is one of the most fundamental requirements of life. According to Abraham Maslow, a renowned psychologist, shelter serves as a prime essential to life. Without it, your mental and emotional well-being becomes jeopardized. That can lead us all into havoc.

So, here’s an anecdote for you to employ whenever the need for shelter arises…

Capture the beautiful balance between sunrise and sunset Listen to the harmony of the incoming and outgoing tides Enjoy the birds chirping throughout the day

Above us, clouds dance and play Around our feet, watch the ants and bugs spin in chaos. Feel the breeze brush against your skin.

But then again, things could suddenly change… If so, an unpredicted event could happen to you. Realize a shift in heart as your emotions flare. Message your mind as rational thoughts appear.

And say to yourself: “Can I change the sunrise and sunset?” “Can I still the waters?” “Can I silence the birds?”

It is time for you to find shelter. Where can you be safe? Seek comfort for your bones. Find a place to rest your mind

Isn’t it a time to trust in God? To let go and be embraced by His Hands. To give thanks that you are alive, and all will pass.

Seeking shelter is instinctual. It might be a perception or an attitude. Shelter is an adjustment to time and place. It’s a temporary state of being. A place for your peace.
